HEART ACTIVITY DIRECTOR TRAINING

Service Description

The only Activity Director Training sanctioned by the Oklahoma Department of Health with a foundation in Recreation Therapy 24 hour training over 3 days, participants will learn the Foundational Knowledge (Clients served, Aging care, Regulations, Culture change) Programming (Dementia, Adaptations, Facilitation, Planning, Documentation, Infection Control and Policies) and 8 hours of hands on experiential activity engagement (Purposeful activities, Leisure and Expressive Activities and Physical/Wellness activities). Completion of this class will certify the participant as an Activity Director, eligible to work in any aged care facility in the state of Oklahoma. The $150 cost is per participant. Facilities interested in training multiple staff on their site will be offered a group rate.
